Dear ATSA Members Residing Outside the United States,
As we prepare for our 2025 Annual Conference in Florida, we want to acknowledge the concerns many of you may have about traveling to the U.S. We recognize the challenges created by shifting political climates, international tensions, and the growing recognition that evidence-based approaches are being sidelined. Please know that ATSA remains firmly committed to science, research integrity, and evidence-based policy and practice.
As two members living outside of the United States ourselves—and as the current President and President-Elect of the organization—we understand that safety, inclusivity, and respect for scientific inquiry are essential for all members. The Board and staff have heard your concerns and are actively working to ensure our conference reflects our values and supports every attendee.
Conference programming will highlight the importance of research-driven approaches and will create space for meaningful dialogue about the challenges our field faces.
We remain dedicated to serving our global community. Your voices are important, and we invite ongoing feedback as we continue shaping an event grounded in our shared commitment to prevention, research, and treatment.
